The potential for using fiber optic systems is enormous and, to date, have only been partially explored. These systems

can satisfy some of the most difficult demands in lighting design : miniaturization, safety, no invasiveness, esthetic versatility. Decorative and/or ornamental lighting in theatres or places of entertainment, with maximum safety. This is a field in which fiber optics have been fully experimented, and which offers the designer untold creative opportunities.
